In July 2018, I embarked on an exciting entrepreneurial journey, founding 8-Bit Pizza, a unique fusion of my love for the 80s and my passion for delicious pizza. The idea was born from a casual conversation with friends about my deep nostalgia for the vibrant culture of the 1980s and my adoration for pizza. I envisioned a pizza restaurant that not only served great-tasting pizza but also immersed customers in the iconic 80s era, complete with movies, cartoons, and video games, all while fostering a sense of community.
In December 2021, an incredible opportunity arose in Austin, TX, allowing me to rebrand an existing pizza restaurant into the 8-Bit Pizza experience. This venture was an amazing chapter in my life, filled with invaluable lessons about the restaurant industry. From perfecting recipes to managing the day-to-day operations, every moment was a learning experience. The journey was challenging but immensely rewarding.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to close 8-Bit Pizza in June 2022. Despite this setback, the spirit of 8-Bit Pizza lives on. My passion for combining great food with the nostalgic charm of the 80s remains undiminished.
Looking ahead, my goal is to relaunch 8-Bit Pizza on a smaller scale but with a stronger foundation. I am planning to open a pizza food truck in Las Vegas, bringing the 8-Bit theme to life once again. This mobile venture will allow me to share the unique 8-Bit experience with a new audience, offering a slice of nostalgia and flavor wherever it goes.
