About Me
Welcome to my personal page! I’m Craig Hindall, and I’m excited to share my story with you. My journey has been a unique blend of challenges, triumphs, and unwavering perseverance. Here’s a glimpse into my life:
Early Life
I was born on June 10, 1974, in Ohio. My early years were challenging; doctors said I would never see or walk. Despite the odds, I do both today. My grandmother, who raised nine children, took me in when my biological mom could not take care of me. Growing up as a child of the 80s, I developed a deep love for computers and technology.
Education and Achievements
I attended Yucaipa High School, where I ran for the Men’s Cross Country team during my freshman year. To this day, my high school honors a student each year with the “Craig Hindall Courage Award” for displaying courage academically or athletically. I was also a Boy Scout, which instilled in me values of resilience and determination.
Professional Journey
In 1997, I began my career as a Helpdesk Technician for Techmedia Computers in Garden Grove, California. Although my job was initially to enter tickets, I discovered that I could resolve many of the issues myself. This proactive approach led to my promotion to Network Administrator after earning my MCE certification.
My journey took me to various IT-related positions, including a role as Network Administrator for Blizzard Entertainment in 2003. In 2004, I moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, to support a close friend who was severely ill. I joined Double-Take Software as a Level 2 Software Support Engineer.
In August 2009, I accepted a position at Zotec Partners, a medical revenue cycle billing company, as an EDI Analyst. Over the years, I expanded my skills to include VBS, VB.NET, C#, and PowerShell. Today, I am the EDI Manager at Zotec, leading a team of nine employees.
From 2017 to 2021, in addition to my role at Zotec, I also served as a contracted IT Manager for the LGBTQ Center of Las Vegas. I was responsible for managing the network, as well as maintaining and designing the CyberCenter, ensuring that visitors had a seamless and supportive tech experience.
Entrepreneurial Ventures
In 2022, I pursued a dream by opening my own pizza restaurant, 8-Bit Pizza, in Austin, TX. Inspired by my love for the 80s, the restaurant offered great-tasting pizza with a nostalgic theme featuring movies, cartoons, and video games. Although I was forced to close the restaurant due to a challenging landlord, the experience was both fun and stressful. I learned invaluable lessons and hope to try again in the future, possibly with a pizza food truck in Las Vegas. You can learn more about my entrepreneurial journey in the Entrepreneurship section of my webpage.
Personal Life
I currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada, with my husband and our dog, Falkor. No matter what lies ahead, I never give up and continue to strive for new goals and adventures, always ready to embrace the next challenge with determination and enthusiasm.
